The Metcalfe County Board of Education met in regular session on Sept. 9, 2019. The board recognized MCHS senior Cody Hart as "Student of the Month," four MCHS custodians as "Classified Employees of the Month": Paul McKenzie, Wendell Jessie, and Tim South, and David Acree (not pictured), and MCHS math teacher Karan Linkous as "Certified Employee of the Month." Patriot Day: Remembering 9/11

 

 

Metcalfe County Elementary School and Metcalfe County Middle School welcomed first responders to their schools on 9/11 to commemorate Patriot Day. It's been 18 years since 9/11/2001, a time before these students were born, but that didn't stop them from showing the most sincere appreciation and respect for the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. Marching Band Wins 2nd Place

Marching Band

The Metcalfe County Hornet Marching Band placed 2nd in Class 1A at the South Central Kentucky Marching Band Classic in Glasgow, Ky. on Saturday, September 7.

MCMS 8th Grade Night

Kelleighh Pugh and Kassady London

Metcalfe County Middle School recognized its two 8th grade basketball players during 8th Grade Night at the Metcalfe vs Clinton County girls basketball game. Congratulations Kelleigh Pugh and Kassady London!

Cody Hart

Metcalfe County High School senior Cody Hart traveled across the country during the summer break performing with the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps from Nashville, Tenn. He was one of 20 mellophone players selected to join the program.

Football Friday Night
