District News

Message from Superintendent Benny Lile

On Friday, March 20, Governor Andy Beshear, requested that schools remain closed through Friday, April 17. The hope is to return to school on Monday, April 20. However, this continues to be a fluid situation and that date could change.

NTI work will continue throughout our absence from the school buildings, with the exception of Spring Break, which is April 6-10.

Meals will continue to be provided next week, and we will have further announcements regarding feeding services in a few days.

🍎IMPORTANT FOOD SERVICE UPDATE🍏
In keeping with the guidelines recommended by the CDC and the governor’s office, Metcalfe County Schools will be modifying its food services plan. On Wednesday, March 25, our drivers will be dropping off a three-day supply of food for the remainder of the week. Then starting on Monday, March 30, our drivers will drop off a five-day supply of food for the entire week. This will be the same process for food pickups at MCMS, the Summer Shade Fire Dept., Sulphur Well Fire Dept., and Cindy’s Center Grill. Pickup hours will be 9am-11am on Mondays. These bulk deliveries and pickups will continue on Mondays until further notice.

📚TUTORING SERVICES📝
At this time, all in-person tutoring services are canceled at Summer Shade, Sulphur Well, and Center. If your child needs any assistance, please contact your child's teacher, your child's school, or the central office. We will make sure your child gets the help that he or she needs.
